If there has ever been a year to head out in search of the best Christmas lights in Buffalo, it’s 2020!  Checking out light displays across WNY is the perfect activity safe for social distancing that will get you in the holiday spirit.

Here’s a list of Christmas light displays hosted by businesses, towns and more, plus a list of residential light shows across WNY.

Please note: Many of these displays were submitted by the homeowners.  We’ve made every effort to ensure the homes on this list are larger light displays, but unfortunately we aren’t able to confirm every one. Dates and times for light displays hosted by homeowners are subject to change at any time.  Before driving out to see one, we recommend you check their Facebook page and/or website to ensure the lights will be on!

Before you head out, download the Fun 4 Kids scavenger hunt!  It’s a fun activity for the kids to take on the ride and enjoy.

Waiting for Confirmation

Each year before I publish my list of lights displays I try to check in with each location to make sure they are running for the upcoming season.  The following is a list of addresses that have been on my list in the past, but I’m waiting for confirmation on whether they are operating this year.  As I hear from the location, I will move them out of this section!

Does your home have a light display you’d like us to include?  Submit the details here.

Have you seen a home around town you think should be on the list?  Contact us!

PLEASE NOTE – If you’d like to submit a house for our list, you must send the home’s exact address and if you have it, the time the displays run and/or a way to contact the homeowner.  We try to provide as much information to readers as we can so it’s easy for people to find the homes and know what days/times the lights will be on.

  1. Thank you for this great list! Something families can do that’s socially distanced and fun! I couldn’t find the link for the site that allows you to put in one address and then it adds the other ones up to 19 places. Could you email it to me, thanks and Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukka, Happy Kwanza!

  2. Everyone should check out 8 John Alex Drive (West Seneca). They have lights set to music and movies on their garage door. Very nice!
