Wondering what there is do this fall in WNY? Normally at this time of year, the Fun 4 Kids Calendar is packed with fall and Halloween themed events throughout WNY. With many attractions still closed or operating at a reduced capacity, many people are wondering what is left to do this fall in WNY!
I’ve put together a list of places and/or events that are open and taking place for fall 2020 in WNY.
What’s open?
There are still some fall favorites open and ready for you to visit.
Apple Picking – Many of the apple orchards are open. Here is a list of places throughout WNY. Before you visit, please call ahead to confirm their hours of operation haven’t changed and they are open.
Pumpkin Patches – Aside from The Maize in North Tonawanda, all the pumpkin patches on this list seem to be open for 2020. Some are operating a limited capacity and/or not having as many special events so again, please call ahead before visiting.
Hiking – WNY is home to some amazing foliage during the fall. Most hiking trails are open! Here’s a list of family friendly hiking spots you can enjoy throughout the area.
Maple Festival – Within a short drive of Buffalo, you’ll find some maple farms. In October, there is a fall maple festival and according to Merle Maple Farm’s Facebook event, it’s still on the schedule! Here’s a link to the event for details.
Special Events – I’m monitoring all the channels and keeping the Fun 4 Kids calendar up to date with all the special events I find. Right now (9/14/20) there aren’t too many but as I see them, I’ll add them so please continue to check the calendar.
