St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in Niagara Falls, NY
The Niagara Falls Ancient Order of Hibernians hosts an annual St. Patrick’s Day event each year that includes a small parade, music, food, Irish dancers and more. For the past few years it has been held at the Conference Center in Niagara Falls. This event starts earlier in the afternoon and runs until nighttime, so you may find it is more “kid friendly” if you go earlier. Children 12 and under are free.
The organizer usually posts information on their Facebook page about the event. Click here to visit their page.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Party in Youngstown, NY
Each year, the Youngstown Business Association hosts a small parade and has some other festivities taking place. If you’ve never been to Youngstown, it’s the perfect time to go, enjoy the parade and enjoy all this small town has to offer. After the parade there is live entertainment and food.

St. Patrick’s Day Events that MIGHT be OK for Kids
St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Downtown Buffalo on Delaware Ave.
Each year, thousands of Western New Yorker’s line the streets of downtown Buffalo to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with one of the largest parades in the country. This parade is very busy and there can be a good amount of “adult beverages” floating around. The parade is technically kid-friendly, it might not be right for families with small children and/or your family in general.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the “Old Neighborhood” – Downtown Buffalo
In addition to the parade on Delaware, there is another parade in Buffalo that takes place in the “Old Neighborhood” also referred to as the First Ward. This parade is also pretty big and there are still “adult beverages” floating around, but my understanding is that it has always been a little less “crazy” and may be more appropriate for kids. There is also more Irish traditions incorporated in this event.
This event is hosted by the Valley Community Association. Click here to visit their site for parade details.
