Where to Donate Halloween Candy in WNY
Buffalo City Mission – The Buffalo City Mission will allow you to donate Halloween candy anytime at their center located at 100 E. Tupper, Buffalo. If you have questions, please contact Marilyn at 716.854.8181 x 424.
Military Men and Women – Check with your local Veteran centers or any place involved with the military. Many of them will send packages to the troops.
A member of our Facebook community was going to send us a direct address to send donations too. As of 10/30, I was waiting to hear back from her. Here’s the post she may reply on.
United Stockings Sailors Soldiers (U.S.S.S) – U.S.S.S is a local non-profit that sends stockings and other packages to the troops overseas. They are based out of Lockport and you can contact them directly to arrange a pick up of your candy donation at (716) 438-8075 or via email at usss.stockings@yahoo.com.
Note: This group also accepts travel size toiletries, razors, and a bunch of other items that you could include with your candy donation.
Operation Gratitude – Operation Gratitude is a national effort that also works to send care packages to the military. The Nativity of Mary School in Williamsville is set up to be a drop point this year. Please contact them to arrange a time for drop off.
You Can Donate Your Halloween Candy – Or There’s Buy Back Programs Too!
Moore Kids Smile – Moore Kids Smile Pediatric Dentistry in Hamburg is hosting a buy back for $1 per pound several days after Halloween. Visit their Facebook event for details.
Winning Smiles Pediatric Dentistry – Winning Smiles has several locations throughout WNY. They are doing a Buy Back program where they will pay kids $1 per pound of candy donated. They take the candy and send it to troops currently overseas. There are a few requirements, so please visit their website to learn more.
Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry – Growing Smiles is doing a buy back program too. All donations will also be sent to the troops overseas and they are asking that you include a letter or picture along with your donation this year. Their buy back is on November 6th.
