Toronto Zoo

The Toronto Zoo in Toronto, Canada is the most amazing zoo I have ever been to. (Granted, I haven't been to very many zoos!) As you visit each exhibit you truly feel you are walking into or seeing that particular animals natural habitat.

Since Toronto is a good hour and a half drive for us we opted to drive up Friday late afternoon, spend the night and spend most of Saturday at the zoo. Had we known how terrible the traffic outside of Toronto would be at that hour we may have changed our plans a bit. Tip #1 - if you can visit during the week, do it!

Admission is a little high but totally worth it! Tip #2 - if you are a member of the Buffalo Zoo you save 50% off the Toronto Zoo admission.

Tip #3 - wear a very comfortable pair of shoes because you will be doing A LOT of walking. And bring the stroller(s) because your kiddos will be tired out!

There are many places within the zoo to grab a bite to eat or you can bring your lunch and sit at one of the picnic tables. Also, there are plenty of restrooms around and even a couple of places to nurse or change babies diaper. You can go here to see a map of the zoo.

The Toronto Zoo is totally worth the trip!

  1. If you can, and have kids that are a little older, make it a weekend trip and head to the Ontario Science Museum as well ... AWESOME place.
