Sshh! I'm going to let you in on a little secret (at least I think it is)! Audubon Library offers Tiny Toddler Time, Toddler Time and Preschool Storytime on different days of the week. The fall session begins this week.
This is such a fun activity for kids I think it needs a little more explaining. Miss Lucy is the librarian who runs these 30 minute storytimes. And Miss Lucy isn't just any librarian! She is a very exciting, energetic and fun individual. The children love her colorful clothes and her guitar!
Tiny Toddler Time meets each Friday and includes stories, songs, fingerplays, dancing and more for children ages 1-2 years old.
Toddler Time meets Tuesday at 10:30 or Wednesday at either 10:30 or 11:30 and includes stories, songs and a craft for ages 2 to 3 1/2 with an adult.
During Preschool Storytime your kids will listen to great stories, sing, dance, and learn to read! Preschool Storytime meets Tuesday at 11:30.
The fall session will go until mid-December as each session usually lasts about 6-8 weeks. Now, this is a free activity but registration is required. Registration for this session was held the last week of October but Miss Lucy has never turned anyone away! Feel free to take your kids over to check it out before you commit to it.
I started taking Big B to Tiny Toddler Time as soon as he turned one. Then we moved on to Toddler Time when he turned 2 and just recently had to stop going due to a scheduling conflict. It is great fun for the kids and a good place for meeting other moms!

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that you and your child had a bad experience with Miss Lucy. In the 4 years we were a part of story time with Miss Lucy we never had a problem.
